Linné, Carl von. |
The oration 'Deliciae naturae' was delivered by Linnaeus on 16 December 1772. The lecture was published in Swedish shortly thereafter at the request of students. The original seems to have been lost. This record contains: - the request to have the lecture printed by all the 'curatores nationum'; - on the inside folio, Linnaeus has written down the ending words of the lecture, paying tribute to the exemplary behaviour of the students during the term he had acted as Vice-Chancellor. |
